Pet of the Week:

Willa is a 4 year old Lilac Siamese that found her way to a Kentucky shelter after her owner passed away. Willa
did not do well in a caged environment and they were going to put her to sleep. Our rescue stepped in and made sure that did
not happen.
Willa is a very sweet girl but does take time to adjust to new surroundings. She is front de-clawed, up to date on vaccines
and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you are interested in adopting Willa please call our rescue or download the application
from the link above.

Skipper the Border Collie mix is ready for adoption!
Skippy a Border Collie mix came to our rescue with a severe injury to his left front leg. He was rescued from a farm
in rural KY, when we first received the call about Skippy one of our rescuers went out to inquire about him. The people reported
that Skippy was not their dog but wandered onto their farm about a year ago with this injury. They provided him with a cardboard
box to sleep in and gave him scraps every night when they arrived home from their catering business. They said that we could
just take him, so we did! Skippy was in need of surgery to remove his leg, it was severely atrophied, he kept
it drawn up under him and it was frozen in that position. He licked his leg causing an open wound and the Veterinarian
said that it needed to be removed. UPDATE: Skippy had his surgery and has recovered fully,
he is now ready to find his forever home! Skippy is a very friendly dog, he needs to have a quiet home where he can spend
much of his time indoors. He would do okay with another dog but no cats. If you are interested in finding out more information
about Skippy please contact us at (812) 737-2019.
